[edit] Notes
I am trying to understand the first sentence of the Notes section. This sentence contains one dependent clause and two independent clauses. The latter two are separated by a comma. Is the second independent clause intended to be a consequence of the dependent clause? Or, is it a separate complete thought? Newatthis (talk) 11:30, 6 January 2015 (PST)
- just an incomplete list "Because of X, A cannot be Y, B doesn't Z, ...". There was supposed to be something else caused by formalization of translation phases in C89, but I can't remember now what. I'll make it say 'and' --Cubbi (talk) 11:38, 6 January 2015 (PST)
[edit] Adding a Note/Clarification Regarding backslash + newline
Despite belonging to translation phase 2 (vs phase 3 for "//" and "/* xxx */"), it still constitutes which portion of the source code is considered as 'comments'.
- Added to the Example. --Space Mission (talk) 14:45, 24 January 2022 (PST)
