external interrupt, usually initiated by the user |
SIGILL
|
invalid program image, such as invalid instruction |
SIGABRT

abnormal termination condition, as is e.g. initiated by abort() |
SIGFPE
|
erroneous arithmetic operation such as divide by zero |
